Nancy is a highly experienced professional with over 30 years of expertise in supporting individuals, children, adolescents, and families. She is dedicated to client-centered practice and believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for growth. Nancy focuses on building on the client's inherent strengths and capacities to explore possibilities for change.
In her work as a counsellor, Nancy draws on the principles of Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. When working with children, Nancy also includes Expressive Arts Therapy .
Nancy has specialized training in mental health, substance use, high conflict families, childhood stress, mood, maladaptive behaviours, and court report writing.
Nancy is a registered with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) #12506, certified with Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) #4414. Nancy is on the Roster of the BC Parenting Coordinators Roster Society, and the BC Hear the Child Society.
Nancy is also a member of the B.C Play Therapy Association, Moderation Management Therapists Association, Family Mediation Canada. As well Nancy is a qualified Crime Victim’s Assistance Therapist and a recognized ICBC and First Nations Health Authority Therapist.
